More about RECAP project
The R.E.C.A.P. Project (Research-Led Engagement to Counter Albanian Precarious Migration) is a collaborative UK–Albania initiative designed to improve understanding of irregular migration, strengthen reintegration support for returnees, and reduce the risks linked to organised immigration crime. By combining trust-based engagement, trauma-informed research, and practical reintegration assistance delivered through the Medaille Trust and its local partners, the project creates safe pathways for returnees to share their experiences, rebuild stability, and access new opportunities. Through these efforts, RECAP generates valuable insights into migration drivers and exploitation risks, strengthens relationships between law enforcement and civil society, and promotes coordinated responses that support safer communities in both Albania and the UK.
